Word of the Week – Lost

Each Friday, I would like to share a word of the week with you. Something that summarises what I’ve been up to, how I’ve felt and how life is generally going. I’d love if you’d share one in the comments. It can be so therapeutic to reflect on what’s been happening, good or bad!

This week I have chosen the word lost

I hold my hands up, I am writing this post half way through Friday morning and several hours after I have normally published. This week I have been all over the place and it’s got me feeling quite lost. After spending a very long weekend at my parents’ sorting out a few things for the wedding next year and doing some dog sitting too my routine was completely knocked.

What I should have done was make a plan at the end of last week to help me stay organised and on top of things…but of course I didn’t do that and this is the result.

The week hasn’t been a disaster or anything. Social media hasn’t been as active as I’d hoped (I have some big goals to try and grow my blogs), I’m behind on washing and the house hasn’t been cleaned in almost two weeks now. It’s hardly the end of the world, but I’m sure you’ll relate to the feeling when you’re just not on top of things.

I just have to shake it off and start a fresh. First things first, let’s dust the living room…yipee.

So there it is, my word of the week and a summary of the past seven days.

  1. Oh, I hate that feeling! You’re right, it’s far from the end of the world to be behind on things like cleaning, but it just throws you out, doesn’t it? Hope you can get back on top again soon, enjoy your dusting! Thanks for sharing with #WotW

  2. Ahh! I hate it when you have a change in routine and you end up feeling lost like this….
I have felt it for most of the summer holidays. lol Most days I have no idea what day it is.

    1. Sunshine and Rain says:

For me it normally comes down to having so many plans with friends and family (which is not something to be complaining about of course!) that I get overwhelmed and lose track of my normal day to day. Deep breath, new week πŸ™‚ #WotW

  4. We all have weeks like that so you are not alone. Even a small change in my routine throws everything off track, I take a breath and just start again. Lists are your friend in this situation, write absolutely everything down and start ticking things off, you will be back on track in no time. Not sure if I’m following you on social media will check now and give you a follow if not. Hope you are having a productive weekend x #WotW

  5. I hate it when that happens and you feel like you are treading water, I have weeks like that too where everything seems in a muddle and chaotic x

Thankfully I seem to be recovering Sarah! Looking forward to Monday morning now πŸ™‚

  6. Getting out of routine throws me too. As you say, it’s not the end of the world but it can still make you feel unsettled. Hope that you are managing to get back on top of things this week and are feeling a little less lost. #WotW

    1. Sunshine and Rain says:

Thanks Louise πŸ™‚ The start of the week wasn’t the best, but I’m on top of things now! #WotW
