Today’s Weigh In
My starting weight was 13st 12lbs
As of today, August 1st 2018, I weigh 14st 0lbs.
Yep…I’ve gone up 2lbs.
This is a bit disheartening I won’t lie, however I haven’t put in as much effort as I could have. Instead of moping I’m going to use it as motivation for next month!
I haven’t taken my measurements this week as I wasn’t keen to engage with a measuring tape after the scales told me off…bloody scales. I did however track my steps for the week using my fitbit app so I thought I would share that instead.
Last week I set myself the goal to walk 2000 steps each day. As I mentioned before, this won’t be a lot for many of you, but for someone who works from home it can be difficult to achieve unless I go out of my way to make it happen. Four out of seven ain’t bad and the days I didn’t reach my goal I still walked over 1000 steps, but this can definitely be improved on.
Changes I Could Make to Progress
Last week I spoke about beginning steadily. Whilst that is the right approach to an extent I feel like I definitely need more structure in my week, or even my days, to make sure I’m staying relatively healthy and not over eating. Last week I had a family BBQ and a wedding on the same day. Instead of preparing for these by eating healthily for the rest of the week I essentially ate what I was in the mood for. I need a bit more planning than that!
I’m setting myself the same goal as last week, to walk 2000 steps each day. I will track it in the same way, using my app, and hopefully we will see some improvement over the next seven days. Thoughts for this Week
Don’t let lack of progress stop you. My weight went up this week, but it was only two pounds and that could be down to a number of factors. We are in a new week now and I have a new opportunity to make improvements to my lifestyle and my health.
