Each Friday, I would like to share a word of the week with you. Something that summarises what I’ve been up to, how I’ve felt and how life is generally going. I’d love if you’d share one in the comments. It can be so therapeutic to reflect on what’s been happening, good or bad!
This week I’ve chosen the word learning.
When I graduated with a masters degree a couple of years ago I thought I’d paid my dues to education. I mean, I did primary school, high school AND stuck it out through six years of uni. That’s enough right?!
Turns out, as an adult (still figuring out what that means), you never stop learning. About yourself, about other people, about life in general really.
For example did you know that TAG stands for Touch and Go?! Found that one out on Facebook the other day, much to my amazement.
Seriously though, this has definitely been a week of learning.
Sunshine and Rain will be growing a little more next week. After connecting with the wonderful Rebecca from Becca Blogs it Out, we have spent some time discussing our blogging goals and decided to start a new linky. As of next Wednesday we would love other bloggers to join us for Weigh in Wednesday. It will be a supportive linky for those of us looking to lose weight and improve our health and fitness. Neither of us have done anything like this before and so we have had to learn the whole process from scratch. There have been hiccups, but we are ready to go now and so excited to welcome new faces to link with us!
Outside of my blogging bubble I have also been expanding my knowledge for my freelancing work. One of the new clients I mentioned in last weeks blog post has asked more of me than any client before. The work is absolutely manageable for me, I just need to take the time to learn a few new drawing techniques and study some example projects. If I can do a good job, I should sit myself in a good position for more future work too.
Learning is never a bad thing, no matter how much you think you already know!
So there it is, my word of the week and a summary of the past seven days.
Do share your own in the comments!
